My Story

Hi everyone!👋

I’m Kat, and when I’m not lacing up my trainers and pretending to be a professional athlete🏃‍♀️, I work as part of the Physiotherapy Team at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN). Every day, I have the privilege of helping patients who have suffered brain injuries 🧠regain movement, independence, and most importantly hope.

But let’s be honest, rehabilitation isn’t just about exercises and therapy 🏋️‍♂️; it’s about people, resilience, and the little victories that make a world of difference. I’ve seen first-hand how proper care, technology, and support can completely change lives, and I want to do even more to help.

So, in a moment of enthusiasm (and maybe slight overconfidence😅), I signed up for the London Marathon🥇! That’s 26.2 miles of sweat, determination 💪, and probably a fair bit of questioning my life choices. But every step I take will be for a cause that means a lot to me, raising vital funds to support the incredible patients at RHN.

The money raised will help provide specialist equipment, therapy programs, and essential resources 🏥 to ensure our patients have the best possible chance at recovery and quality of life. For instance:

- £30 could provide a session of communication therapy🗣️, helping a patient re-connect with the world 🌍

- £50 could pay for 2 patients to enjoy an hour of leisure time in the art room🎨.

It’s about giving hope, mobility, and independence back to those who need it most.

‼️Now, I need your help! If you can spare a few pounds (or just some words of encouragement), it would mean the world to me and the patients we support. Every donation, big or small, will push me through training runs, over the finish line, and, most importantly, make a real difference to those who rely on RHN’s care.‼️

Thank you for sharing this journey with me. Let’s do something amazing together! 🤩
